Session 8 - Senior Session On April 29th Alison, Antonio, Ashley, Bri and I took on a senior project! Well, we were ready, but our senior was fashionably late... so, we had a great time enjoying some chips and salsa while we waited and discussed the deeper things in life (like Lion King 1.5 🤣)! Then we spent a little time in the studio and outdoors taking pictures with Ty'Nijah. Check out this collection of my favorite edits from our senior session! The outdoor shots were 🔥🔥🔥! Samples Equipment Recommendations This post contains affiliate links. As an Amazon associate Camera Coach may earn commissions from qualifying purchases, at no cost to you. Here's a quick list of equipment that was used or discussed during class. Each item has a link and a quick description. Camera Canon 5D Mark IV ($2299) - https://amzn.to/4drqZOZ - I like mirrorless cameras, but my go-to for portraits is still a DSLR! The 5D Mark IV is the updated model of the 5D Mark II that I used for Ty'Nijah's session. Its full frame sensor gives great color depth and allows for use of a telephoto lens even in somewhat smaller spaces. Lens Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM ($1299) - https://amzn.to/4drqZOZ - This is a very versatile lens with a great aperture range. Although I like the reach of the 70-200mm, I opted to go for something lighter since I would be moving around outside. There is a version made for mirrorless camera models, too (https://amzn.to/44uBpt6) Lighting Neewer Vision 4 ($215*) - https://amzn.to/44yuFdx - Off-camera flash is definitely the way to go for portraits. The Vision 4 is a great portable light that's affordable and comes with its own wireless trigger. Original price is $269. You can get a set of two lights with triggers, umbrellas and soft boxes for $555 (https://amzn.to/4dvbkxX)! Godox 24"x36" Softbox with Bowens mount ($70) - https://amzn.to/3JSEgTi - A larger light source helps with producing softer shadows, so we packed this guy with us. The results are well worth it if you have someone that can hold the light (stand) or if the wind is minimal.
