Photography Class Update

Session 3 - Video, Continued!

Class was in session again on Monday (March 18th) at noon. It was a smaller group this time, but Antonio, Vern and I picked up where we left off from last week. Since we've been talking about making videos, we decided to get some "reel" practice! That's right! So, we just stepped into the studio and played around a little bit with trying to make quick engaging video clips.

Cameras

The M50 Mark II is another one of Canon's great entry level mirrorless models, alongside the R50. The main noticeable improvement from the original M50 is the upgrade to 4K video recording. Even thoughit's an older model, it's still a good option.

​The Z30, in my opinion, is Nikon's best entry level mirrorless camera for vloggers. The lack of a viewfinder didn't seem as much of a problem as I initially thought, especially with the addition of a fully articulated LCD display.

Cell Phone Gimbals

Insta360 Flow - amzn.to/3TuJBUV
The Insta 360 is another significant player in the cell phone gimbal market. It sports a sleek design, folds into a very compact size (which makes traveling with it easy) and has mini tripod legs built into the handle. Be on the lookout for a comparison video soon.

Cell Phone Lenses

This is one of the better quality options for those with cell phones that don't have additional lenses. There are different versions for different phones, so be sure to check for compatibility before purchasing!
