Session 6 - Chasing Totality! April 8th was truly a great day in Waco, Texas! We had a small crew come together during our Monday photography class to view and photograph the total solar eclipse, and it did not disappoint! Despite the cloudy weather it was an amazing experience. Just knowing that this unique event was coming straight to us was mind-blowing.

Session 5 - Practice Makes Perfect! The class on April 1st was a small but focused group! Antonio and Alison jumped right into getting some more video practice over at Brittany's hair studio (shout out to Peace, Love & Hair 😀!). Newcomer Nancy and I took some time talking basic settings for her new camera, then she tried her hand at taking some product photos of some samples from Luna Juice Bar! And Antonio and Alison finished up their time with a little product video practice. Job well done, gang!
Session 3 - Video, Continued! Class was in session again on Monday (March 18th) at noon. It was a smaller group this time, but Antonio, Vern and I picked up where we left off from last week. Since we've been talking about making videos, we decided to get some "reel" practice! That's right! So, we just stepped into the studio and played around a little bit with trying to make quick engaging video clips.
Session 2 - Cell Phone Videography
Our photography class met on Monday (March 11th) at noon. The conversation immediately turned toward cell phone videos, so Brittany, Kristi, Antonio and I keyed in on equipment and ideas for recording short form videos (think social media reels, etc.). Everyone walked away with one or two things they could explore or practice on their own until next week! More details below...
Class is in Session!!! Our first photography class for adults kicked off on March 4th! The six attendees really brought their A-game, engaging in conversations with each other and myself about everything from lenses and camera settings to equipment ideas for recording videos. The great thing about it was there wasn't any pressure to get to a finishing point... we're just going to pick up where we left off next time! More details below...
